UK salary data by region and occupation

These pages use ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings data for full-time employees. The figures are regional estimates, not city-level salaries. SalaryEquate excludes mapped observations where an available coefficient of variation is above 20%, helping avoid publishing ONS estimates that are too unreliable for practical use.

How to use the figures

Compare the same occupation across available regions, then consider income tax, National Insurance, housing and household costs before comparing purchasing power. An annual salary observation describes the labour market; it does not guarantee an individual job offer.

2025 provisional data

The current UK dataset is labelled 2025 provisional by ONS. SalaryEquate keeps the period and official source visible so readers can distinguish verified source data from planning estimates.

ONS quality and corrections

ONS provides coefficients of variation with this release. SalaryEquate excludes mapped estimates above 20% CV. ONS also issued a December 2025 correction affecting police occupation code 3312 in some areas; that occupation is not part of SalaryEquate’s current mapped UK occupation set.
